For the passed two years I have been trying to convince Timmy to take me camping on the beach. The beach that my family and I really like is called Carlsbad. That beach got booked up like a year in advance, so we searched for a while and finally found one. Mcgrath state beach has a huge camp site. There are about 200 sites, bathrooms, and showers. We drove down on a Monday we packed up the Mazda van the night before and headed down around 6. We got there around 1 and picked our site. We wanted it to be secluded yet close to the beach. After that we went to Wal-mart, one of our 7 trips that week. Timmy and I were in charge of dinner that night we made hobo dinners. We went on a walk at the beach and then stayed up eating smores in our fire. The next day we got up and went on a run, then we got ready for the beach, we stayed all day until about 4. Then we went to Wal-mart again and picked up a few things for dinner. Brooke and Johan were in charge of dinner and ate really great fajitas. We went on another walk on the beach and went to bed. The next morning we got ready and went to Hollywood Blvd. We had a great time looking at all the stars, went to the wax museum ate a little hamburger joint, and matched our hands with the hand prints. We drove up to the Hollywood sign and looked at all the expensive homes around. On our way to Venice beach we took a drive down Rodeo, and took a detour to the Las Angeles temple. Both our parents got married there and it was cool to just walk around and get some pictures of the area. It was crazy to see peace in a city full of chaos. After that we ate at Timmy's favorite place in the world Baby blues. They have the best southern BBQ anywhere. Homemade corn bread, amazing macaroni, and perfect corn on the cob. After that we drove back down to our camp site and hit the sack. Thursday we got up and enjoyed the beach for the last time. We stayed until about 6 then ate dinner, sloppy joes, then hit the ice cream at the harbor, and raced to the see the sunset. Timmy is so romantic and I love it. It was fun to cuddle and kiss as the sun went down. That night Timmy and I were invited to talk and eat smores with our neighbors next to our camp site. A couple about our age just got married and didn't want their honeymoon to end. They were fun to talk to about where they live, where we live and just life in general. They gave us a few ideas for the next day and we ended our night around midnight. Friday we got up ate breakfast and headed down to zuma beach. We got to Neptune's net a little to early so we turned around to buy some strawberries and tomatoes. Then we headed back to the beach and sat and watched the surfers catch some waves. We ate the most delicious fish and chips and headed down to Zuma. We were told that Zuma beach is where Baywatch was filmed and where the diet coke with lime commercial was filmed. After taking a few pictures we headed to find where Brandon Boyd lives. We drove down famous Morning View drive and basically took a picture of every house haha. We weren't sure exactly which house was his. After that we took a winding road that Timmy's dad used to take as a kid and started to drive home. We couldn't help but stop at Buffalo bills and ride the big roller coaster. Brooke and I rode it when we went on our Senior trip. We forgot how scary it is and almost had a nervous breakdown while we waited for the coaster to start. After that we had a nice ride home and arrived around 10. We all had a great time and I would love to do it again.
