our crazy life

Well since it has been about 4 months since we last blogged I guess I should update it a little. Timmy and I have been awefully busy with work, school and life in general. We just finished our third semester of school (yeah!! just one more to go people.)
The past 4 months here is a list of things that happened. Timmy's brother got married, which was an awesome experience, we were all able to go through the temple and go through a endowment setion for Nicole; in Vegas and then watch them get sealed in the St. George temple. Timmy took me to an awesome third eye blind concert; I have been wanting to see them in concert since I was in high school. It was really cool cause my sister Lena got to come we had such a great time. I turned 24; which wasn't totally exciting more or less another day passing by. My grandparents had a thirtieth anniversary party that I hosted; it was difficult to get everything ready I had some great help from my family, just wish all the family could have come, I know everyone was a little disappointed. My sweet 19 year old brother went to the MTC. This was something that I thought would be a lot easier. Watching him stand on the cirb with his 3 suitcases, wearing a new suit, he had this look on his face as if he was going to vomit. It makes them look so young. The hardest thing was watching my two brothers hug and say goodbye to eachother for the 4 years that they will be missing.
Sitting in church today I decided that Timmy and I have it pretty good. We both come from awesome close families and things in our marriage have been coming along pretty easy. So far thank goodness we have been able to live in 3 awesome places that are very inexpensive (first an awesome basement appartment, second green valley home where we basically lived free, and now at my parents house where we have been able to save.) We have also been able to save a lot of money and we have been cruising through school with awesome jobs that we both love. It makes you wonder when will our struggles come in to play? Having kids, finding jobs when we graduate? Timmy and I hope that as long as we stay doing the right things and stay close to the Lord our problems won't be that big.
On a lighter noteTimmy and I just bought our first house!! We are so excited and want to move in terribly. It is in Bloomington Hills around the park where I grew up. Our new address will be 1346 redwood tree street. cute huh? We decided that we want to update the house a little bit so we have contractors going through it right now getting bids together. We want to be in the house before Feb 1 because thats when our payments start. Sorry I don't have any pictures in yet but I will take some and post them soon. I am really excited to pick out all the tile, carpet, paint, counter tops, and cabinets. How fun is that after 3 years I finally get my own house that I can actually decorate. Even more exciting we are getting closer and closer to being able to start trying to have a family of our own.

For the passed two years I have been trying to convince Timmy to take me camping on the beach. The beach that my family and I really like is called Carlsbad. That beach got booked up like a year in advance, so we searched for a while and finally found one. Mcgrath state beach has a huge camp site. There are about 200 sites, bathrooms, and showers. We drove down on a Monday we packed up the Mazda van the night before and headed down around 6. We got there around 1 and picked our site. We wanted it to be secluded yet close to the beach. After that we went to Wal-mart, one of our 7 trips that week. Timmy and I were in charge of dinner that night we made hobo dinners. We went on a walk at the beach and then stayed up eating smores in our fire. The next day we got up and went on a run, then we got ready for the beach, we stayed all day until about 4. Then we went to Wal-mart again and picked up a few things for dinner. Brooke and Johan were in charge of dinner and ate really great fajitas. We went on another walk on the beach and went to bed. The next morning we got ready and went to Hollywood Blvd. We had a great time looking at all the stars, went to the wax museum ate a little hamburger joint, and matched our hands with the hand prints. We drove up to the Hollywood sign and looked at all the expensive homes around. On our way to Venice beach we took a drive down Rodeo, and took a detour to the Las Angeles temple. Both our parents got married there and it was cool to just walk around and get some pictures of the area. It was crazy to see peace in a city full of chaos. After that we ate at Timmy's favorite place in the world Baby blues. They have the best southern BBQ anywhere. Homemade corn bread, amazing macaroni, and perfect corn on the cob. After that we drove back down to our camp site and hit the sack. Thursday we got up and enjoyed the beach for the last time. We stayed until about 6 then ate dinner, sloppy joes, then hit the ice cream at the harbor, and raced to the see the sunset. Timmy is so romantic and I love it. It was fun to cuddle and kiss as the sun went down. That night Timmy and I were invited to talk and eat smores with our neighbors next to our camp site. A couple about our age just got married and didn't want their honeymoon to end. They were fun to talk to about where they live, where we live and just life in general. They gave us a few ideas for the next day and we ended our night around midnight. Friday we got up ate breakfast and headed down to zuma beach. We got to Neptune's net a little to early so we turned around to buy some strawberries and tomatoes. Then we headed back to the beach and sat and watched the surfers catch some waves. We ate the most delicious fish and chips and headed down to Zuma. We were told that Zuma beach is where Baywatch was filmed and where the diet coke with lime commercial was filmed. After taking a few pictures we headed to find where Brandon Boyd lives. We drove down famous Morning View drive and basically took a picture of every house haha. We weren't sure exactly which house was his. After that we took a winding road that Timmy's dad used to take as a kid and started to drive home. We couldn't help but stop at Buffalo bills and ride the big roller coaster. Brooke and I rode it when we went on our Senior trip. We forgot how scary it is and almost had a nervous breakdown while we waited for the coaster to start. After that we had a nice ride home and arrived around 10. We all had a great time and I would love to do it again.

Kelly Clarkson concert

You gotta have tattoos!!

After working a night shift I got off and went strait to Brooke's house. Her mom Kim and I drove about 4 hours to Pleasant Grove. When we finally arrived I got to see my bestest friend. It was about time, I hadn't seen her for months. I was excited to have a girls only weekend no boys (that doesn't mean we didn't talk about them.) That night we went to Wal-mart and got these sweet tattoos. We got ready for the concert and went to UVSC. There were tons of people there and we were pretty close to the front. It had rained all day and it finally stopped, we were praying that it wouldn't start up again. Before Kelly Clarkson they had a little college American Idol going on, this took forever. Finally when she got to sing she sang for a short hour and a half and we jammed the whole time. She sang really well in person. Afterwards we went home talked and slept. The next day we got up did a little shopping ate lunch and watched a movie and ate Chinese and painted our nails (girly right?) Then went to bed got up the Sunday and played Nintendo and then drove home. It was a short trip but I was really excited to spend time with Brooke.
